(5.375 ha). It`s situated on the Pacific shore, between the
Punta Uvita and Punta Pinuela tombolos, in Osa Canton (province
Puntarenas). This park protects major environments such as sandy
beaches, rocky shorelines, cliffs, islands, rocky reefs, the Punta Uvita
tombolo, and a coral reef that is the major breeding ground for countless marine
species. (The coral reef bound here is one of the most important attractions of
the area. >The area support several species of reptiles, mammals and
birds. including pelicans, frigatebirds, roseate spoonbill, white-nosed coaties,
white-faced monkeys, howlers, kinkajous.
