(580 ha), (1989). It`s a alternative to ajucent north-west Monteverde Cloud Forest Reserve, but is placed in slightly higher elevation. There is a lookout point from which it`s possible to observe Arenal volcano eruptions. There are also more than 10 kms of trails: Bajo, Cano Negro, Encantado. It`s inhabited by quetzals, ocelots, howler, white-faced and spider monkeys (the last ones absent in Monteverde).
